With the projects implemented with European Union, our school has aimed to overview our towns and countries’ name. It has assigned to follow technology and science both in and outside the country and will go on working with its all the teachers and students. It will be an honor to share our experiences that we have gathered from this platform and the activities that we have developed, as we know that “information improves as it is shared”.

The Industry Vocational Training High School began its education with the name of Men Art School on metal- woodworks and leveling in a small building ( now it is used by fire department) which was built as a live stock market by The Municipality in 1944.

At that time, Merchant Ahmet Celtikci’s three tobacco stores that are about 200 meters far away from this building, hired and workshops are formed. As the classrooms are insufficient, the rooms of an inn (is now a wholesale hall) opposite to the Fire Department’s building were used as classrooms. When the school had begun education under hard circumstances, it had only 50 students and 6 teachers.

In 1962 the electric department was opened and the school moved into its present building. In 1980, the draftsmanship department and in 1983, the electronic departments are opened. In 1991-1992 Education Year, The Technical Training and in 2004-2005, The Anatolian Technical Training High Schools are activated. In the framework of lately reconstruction there are The Information Technology, The Machine Technology, The Metal Technology and The Wood Technology Departments in our school.

1940s…, the bench works used dynamo that works with man-hand …, The technical education carried out in workshops which were converted from the store , the negativeness due to the impossibilities and circumstances and in contrast with these conditions the indomitable resoluteness of education and training …, the ready manpower that were brought in many branches of profession such as industrialist, bureaucrat, worker, teacher, officer, doctor etc…, a family that goes ahead with the accumulations of the past 60 years , has an institutional identity on its own and has been preparing itself for the future with the effect of the education – training tradition. The pine tree expresses the roots of the past and its never- ending amity. The pine trees surrounding Tire Industry Vocational Training High School symbolize this family.

Today, the school, has diversified the branches of vocational education and been contributing to the development of strategies about technical training and preparing the vocational education development projects, been one of the pioneering forces in the process of EU partnership as having its projects approved in the countries of EU, has the title of being the only rural school which represented Turkey in Europe in 2004-2005 Education Year. It is told about and known respectably among the National Education Committee and foreign.
